Will of John Colby 1500. Cur. Ep'i, Norw. John Colby of Browndyahe, — 15 July 1500,—legacies to the candlebeme in the Church of Brundish and to the Church of Banham;—mentions the Noble Prince John, late Duke of Suffolk, his especial good Lord; the souls of his father and mother, and of Simon Pyle and Beatrix his wife; Agnes Warton and Sir William Priest; mentions that he stood bound unto his father in law John Ive; gave llands at Denington, purchased of Everard Bryggs, to his wife for life ; Boynton Hall, in Fynbergh, of his wife's inheritance; William, his son, on attaining 24 years, to have lands in Wilby, also Dormans, Drawswards, Ruffyns and Strutts in Bruundyshe; names sons Robert and Henry, daughters Anne and Alice, and Henry Bond, who married his daughter Margaret. Proved 11 Nov. 1500.
