JOHN CONKLIN (John 2, 1) who was born at Hashamomack, Southold, L. I, ca. 1658/59, was the oldest son of Capt. John Concklyne and Sarah (Horton) Salmon. He married ca. 1684, SARAH SCUDDER, born ca. 1663/64, a daughter of Thomas Scudder of Southold and Huntington, L. I.
Mrs. Sarah Conklyn, relict of Mr. John Conklyln died 18 Aug. 1753 ae. 89, according to her gravestone at Hashamomack. John Conklin died at Hashamomack 4 Mar. 1705/6, according to the Salmon records. (Note: Hashamomack was a section of Southold and often appears alone as a location.)
