It has been speculated that the first Cooper husband of Lydia (____) who later married Gregory Stone may have been Simon Cooper of Dedham. There doesn't seem to be a Simon Cooper in Dedham, Massachusetts, so a look for Simon Cooper in Dedham England , revealed.
A Simon Cooper had children bpt in St, Mary the Virgin Parish, Dedham, Essex, England.[1] No Phebe. No marriage recorded for Simon 1590 to 1615. No Burial before 1650. No remarriage for a Lydia Cooper.
Robart Cooper bpt 26 Feb 1610/11
Thomas Cooper bpt 26 Dec 1612
Samuell Cooper bpt 4 Mar 1616/17
John Cooper bpt 14 Mar 1618/19
This John could easily fit the immigrant John, son of Lydia Cooper, but he had a sister Lydia. Where was she in the baptismal records? And although the baptismal records indicate these children were son of Simon there is no mention of his wife Lydia. No marriage or burial records were located.

Note
James Savage, A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England, Showing Three Generations of Those Who Came before May 1692 on the Basis of Farmer's Register, 4 vols. 1860--62.
"SIMON Cooper, Newport 1663, a physician, m. 20 Jan. 1664, Mary Tucker, call. in the Friend's rec. of Shelter Island, wh. may have been d. of that John of Watertown and Hingham, had Robert, b. 10 Oct. 1664; Joseph, 4 Feb. 1667; Mary, 20 July 1669; and Simon, 1 Apr. 1672.""
Note B-404 06:04, 5 December 2017 (EST): The note about Savage was part of the gedcom. Looking at Savage's entry (which I added) This person does not resemble Savage's entry at all. Another Simon needs to be found
No Simons or Samuels in the Great Migration Directory.
