MEMORIAL PHOTOS 3 FLOWERS 1 John Corfman was ordained a deacon in about 1839 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Perry County, Ohio. He moved to Iowa in 1852 and settled in Tama County, Iowa in 1853. In Toledo, Tama County, Iowa, he was a deacon, a treasurer, and a trustee at the Toledo Baptist church.

John had three wives: (1st) Delila HOLMES, whom he married on November 25, 1835, in Fairfield Co., Ohio. Delila died in July 1841 in Ohio. With Delila, he had three children: Rebecca, James W., and John Will.

(2nd) Catharine HUFFORD, whom he married on April 17, 1842, in Perry Co., Ohio. With Catharine, he had the following children: Susan, Lydia M., Lewis M., Matilda, Elizabeth, George, Elmer Ellsworth, Nancy, Solomon, and Barbara. Catharine died July 1876 in Iowa.

(3rd) Edie HIGGINS, the widow of Cyrus WICAL. John had no children with his third wife.
