John Cox, Marine “Dromedary" 1810

John COX became a soldier to come to Australia to find his father Francis.

1810 On arrival in Sydney - he found his father and spent 4 years working with him. In 1814 John left Sydney and did not return.

John COX married Sarah JONES 30/4/1832 in London and they had children

• Ann Margaret 26/9/1832 - travelled to Australia but returned to England - she returned to iAustralia in 1866
• Maria 6/6/1834 - travelled to Australia but returned to England to marry - she returned to Australia on her husbands death
• George Francis 7/6/1836 - travelled to Australia
• Martha 29/9/1839
• Sarah 15/12/1837 - 17/11/1854
• William 29/8/1841-11/3/1851
• Thomas 18/4/1850 - 11/9/1850
