About John David Plum
John worked for 30 years in the Norfolk and Western Railway maintenance division before retiring in 1974. He was a member of Mount Lebanon United Church of Christ at Comertown, near Shenandoah, VA. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Employees and the American Association of Retired Persons. He and his wife, Gladys, were married by Rev. Rau. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary and enjoyed 54 years of married life.
John and Gladys lived in the fourth place up Crooked Run Hollow. He owned approximately 5 - 10 acres of land. After John died, Gladys sold the farm and bought a house in Shenandoah.
