Biography

John Dimmock (or Dimock or Dimuck) was a farmer and resided in Barnstable till October 1709, when he exchanged his farm in Barnstable containing forty acres of upland and thirty of meadow, his house lot and commonage, with Samuel Sturgis of Barnstable, for a farm on Monosmenekecon neck, in Falmouth, containing 150 acres and other lands in the vicinity of said Neck, and removed to that down, where he has descendants. His house in Barnstable is now owned by Mr. Wm W. Sturgis.

John Dimock was born 1 January 1666 Barnstable, Barnstable County, Plymouth Colony.[1][2]He died 16 Dec 1738 Falmouth, Barnstable, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[3][4]John married Elizabeth Lumbert 16 Nov 1689 Barnstable MA.[5]
