About John Evans
Indexed by Mrs. Joe Crawford on April 19, 1961 for the book "Louisiana Tombstone Inscriptions: Volume XVII", page 26, compiled by the Louisiana Society NSDAR.
Mrs. Crawford believed the large unmarked brick tomb was Mr. Evans' tomb. There was a large pine tree at the foot and a blown-down cedar tree at the head of the tomb. She believed it was the oldest burial in the cemetery.
