  • John Smith of Taunton "being mindfull of my mortallitie", made his will June 3, 1690, proved Jan. 12, 1691-2.
  • My estate to be appraised, except either 10 or 12 acres, as he shall choose, which I give to Nicholas Jones, my wife's son, estate then to be divided;
  • to son John £30 more than an equal share with the rest;
  • son Seth and my four daughters to share equally;
  • sons John and Seth are to have all lands and buildings, of which John shall have a choice,
  • my sons to pay their sisters what the lands and buildings shall amount to more than their part;
  • estate to be divided when son John is 21.
  • Capt. Thomas Leonard of this town, and my loving brother Samuel Smith of Medfield to be executors.
