John Findley, III

John's mother died when he was only 6 years old.

According to John's daughter Catherine ("Kate") Findley, in correspondence she shared (after she had been to Scotland) with Helen Roache (daughter of James A. Roache and Isabella Findley Roache?), which were copied by granddaughter Mary Caroline Findley Edmands, John and his wife, Catherine, came from Scotland to Rockport, Essex County, Massachusetts, with their three daughters, Mary, Eliza, and Isabella. (The subsequent children were born in America.)
