!Note on abstract says John married Edy Saffel 15 February 1825, Blount County, TN. Since one child is named Samuel Saffel Finley, this marriage seems more likely to be the first marriage. Hannah Palmer, claimed wife (Lee Baines), could be a second wife???

!Marjorie B. Ratcliffe gives birth date as 1782. (Ben M. Angel notes: This probably makes greater sense, as Sarah Breckenridge would have been 56 in the year 1800. Also, less conclusive but of interest, there is a John Finley listed as a veteran of the War of 1812 from Blount County.)
