Biography

Birth and Family

John Fiske was born in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony, on 17 Mar 1682. John was the son of Nathaniel Fiske and Mary (Warrin) Fiske. He resided in Watertown, until he was nearly twenty-one years of age, at which time he relocated to Sherburne, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He lived in Sherburne until his death. Nathaniel, John's brother, also accompanied him to Sherburne.
Marriage

John married Lydia Adams on 31 Jul 1706, in in Sherburne, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Lydia was born on 2 Feb 1684, daughter of Moses and Lydia (Whitney) Adams of Sherburne.

Estate

He (John Fisk) was a weaver by trade and the admn. of his estate was granted to his widow (Lydia) July 13, 1730. Inventory was taken July 3, 1730, acct. of Lydia the admr., Sept. 13, 1731, in which she charges for "supporting the deceased four youngest children sixteen months," and paying a Mrs. Hannah Fiske for nursing. He d. May 8, 1730; res. Sherburne, Mass.[1]
