About John Forbes
John Forbes and his wife Octavia Léger were farmers and they lived to the West of the island, at Pincourt Bay, which is located on the side of Vaudreuil, at the foot of the fast of the Quienchien River, much closer location of the Church of Vaudreuil from Perrot Island, built to the southeast of the island, across from Beauharnois. The Forbes spouses were great Christians, who had beautiful family traditions to maintain and which kept them. After their marriage in 1863, they lived six years in Vaudreuil, until April 1869. They then went to remain in Montreal. Sixteen children that God their donna, the first four were baptized in Vaudreuil, where pious parents were usually their religious duties
