John Fowler "was commissioned to make provisions for fitting out troops to be raised for His Majesty's service in expedition to Canada, also to raise 200 men including officers for defense of our frontier."
"He conveyed by deed in his will, property and lands to his son John while living. He lived and died in the old homestead of the original William and his only son John succeeded him there."
