    Ruth Gaither was born on 8 September 1679.1 She was the daughter of John Gaither and Ruth Morley.1 She married John Warfield, son of Captain Richard Warfield and Elinor Browne, on 16 February 1696/97 at All Hallows Parish, Anne Arundel, Maryland, U.S.A..1

     From 16 February 1696/97, her married name became Warfield.1

The oldest of at least eight children born to John and Ruth Gaither of South River, Anne Arundel Co MD, John married:

1) Jane Buck on 21 Aug 1701 in Anne Arundel Co MD. 2) Widow Elizabeth (Duvall) Warfield on 20 Aug 1719 in Anne Arundel Co MD.

"Founders of Anne Arundel & Howard Cos MD", by Joshua Dorsey Warfield, Pg 108: "The issue of John and Jane (Buck) Gaither were, Benjamin, Alexander, Richard, David, Amos, Joshua and Rezin, all inheriting "Abington.""

Although a marriage record has not yet been located, this same book mentions Jane Buck on Pgs 108 & 425. As well, "Genealogy of the Welsh and Hyatt Families" mentions Jane marrying John Gaither on Pg 200.
