"John Gibson, born 1732, son of John G., farmer in Pettinain, Lanarkshire ; licen. by Presb. of Hamilton 25th July 1749 ; pres. by George II. 31st Aug. 1759; ord. 12th March 1760; died 9th Feb. 1795. He marr. 1st Sept. 1766, Euphemia Halliburton, who died 3rd Dec. 1810, and had issue — Agnes, born 13th Dec. 1773 (marr. Patrick Macvicar, min. of Third Charge, Dundee)."
