Biography

He married first at Downham on September 21, 1588, Bridget Portler. Bridget was buried at Downham on November 24, 1607, after bearing seven children.

He married second, by 1610, the widow Elizabeth (Parlett) Taylor. Elizabeth's first husband was Richard Taylor. She had three children by her first marriage, Peter, Jane and Susan Taylor.

John Goodale was buried at Great Yarmouth on July 7, 1625.

In his will made June 25, 1625 and proved Sept. 24, 1625, he left bequests to:

Richard, eldest son of my first wife and his two children daughter Rebecca daughter Frances Marston, wife of William and their children John, Marye, Elizabeth Susan and Peter Taylor, my wife's children my son John, eldest by my wife Elizabeth, executor sons Christopher, Joseph, Mordechaus daughters Elizabeth and Marie nephew Robert Goodale Nichodemas and Elizabeth Parlett, children of my wife's brother John Parlett and other bequests to the poor and some friend's and cousins he names William Parlett, kinsman and friend to be overseer [1] His widow Elizabeth sailed to New England sometime between 1637 and about 1640. She died at Newbury, Massachusetts on April 8, 1647.
