John Graham of Dougalston, here treated, is the son of John Graham of Dougalston and his wife Margaret Nisbet. John Graham of Dougalston, here treated, was enrolled as a burgess and guild brother of Glasgow on 23 May 1721. He was admitted in right of him being the eldest son of the deceased John Graham of Dougalstoun. Glasgow Burgesses, 1573-1750, p. 355

The Testament Dative of his Father and Grandfather

John Graham of Dougalston, here treated, gave up the testament dative of his deceased grandfather and father, identified as John Graham, elder of Dougalston, and John Graham, younger of Dougalston. Richard Graham, Merchant in Glasgow, acted himself as cautioner for the young Laird of Dougalston and confirmation was granted to him on the same day.
