25 May 1704: Disposition by John Graham of Dougalston, eldest lawful son to the deceased John Graham, writer in Glasgow therein designed of Dougalston, in favour of William Graham, fourth lawful son to the deceased John Graham, his heirs and assignees, of the heritable bond by James, Marquess of Montrose and his cautioners to John Bell, Provost of Glasgow for £8000 scots (GD220/1/H/8/2/5) thereafter disponed to the deceased John Graham (GD220/1/H/8/2/6). In the contract of marriage between John Graham with consent of his father, the deceased John Graham, and Margaret Nisbet, then his spouse with consent of Marion Stuart, her mother, the deceased John Graham disponed in favour of his son, the said heritable bond with procuratory of resignation and precept of sasine, dated 13 Oct 1694. William Graham had discharged his elder brother, the said John Graham, of £8000 scots as the patrimony provided to him by his deceased father and therefore John Graham had disponed to him the heritable bond with an assignation to the procuratory of resignation and precept of sasine contained in the contract of marriage.
