About John Haffenden
2a. John Haffenden, bequeathed a fourth share in lands by his father,
1525; of Halden; will dated 20 May 1531, in which he asks to be buried
in Halden churchyard;
John Haffenden, bequeathed a fourth share in lands (shared with brothers Harry, Moine and George) after his mothers death by his father, Thomas Haffenden in 1525 will: "Melfield, Knottsgrove, Holmysgrove, Whitrede and Playrede". Also bequeathed in fathers will was a corn-wain, a barrow. an axe, a broad axe, a chisel, an auger, a gutting axe, a cross bow, a long bow and my arrows.
His will dated 20 May 1531, asked to be buried in Halden churchyard;
Thomas married Joan, residual beneficiary of her husband's 1531 will.
