John Hammond

John Hammond settled in Virginia after coming from England, but moved to Maryland. He established an inn where the court of St. Mary's County met.

He joined Lord Baltimore's forces in the Maryland wars, and after the Puritan victory at the Battle of Severn, he escaped to England. He had returned to Maryland by the spring of 1661, where he died in February or March 1663.
