John Henderson of Northampton County, VA and Worcester County, MD (Eastern Shore all the way) was baptized 12 May 1661 in Hungars Parish, Northampton Co, Virginia, son of James Henderson Sr. (s. 1630, Scotland - note that this is not place-specific *in* Scotland) and Mary somebody (c. 1640, birth place unknown). He married Elizabeth Barnaby of the Hungars Parish Barnabys, 1 Jul 1680 at Somerset Co, Maryland, and they had 12 children - sons William, James, Charles, John II, Joseph, and Benjamin, daughters Hannah, Anne Mary, Comfort, Sarah, Elizabeth and Jemima.
