John Hovey 7, born in Londonderry, N. H., Oct. 15, 1786. He was a house-carpenter, and lived in his native town until 1839, when he emigrated to Marietta, O. He married, first, Eleanor White of Chester, N. H., Sept. 27, 1810; and she died March 29, 1812. He married, second, his first wife's sister, Betsey White of Londonderry Dec. 16, 1813; and she died May 29, 1819. He married, third, Abigail, daughter of Timothy Dustin of Haverhill, Mass., June 29, 1820. She was born in Manchester, N. H., Jan. 14, 1798. He died in Marietta July 20, 1851, at the age of sixty-four; and she died there May 10, 1883, at the age of eighty-five.

The children of Mr. Hovey were born as follows:—

1277—I John Dustin 8, born June 19, 1821, in Londonderry, N. H. See family numbered "1277."

1278— 11. Albert Galeton 8, born July 11, 1824, in Londonderry, N. H.; lived in Eugene, Ore.; married, first, Mary Ellen Mulkey in 1853, in Oregon; second, Emily Humphrey in 1866; was state senator of Oregon, and one of the most prominent citizens, being a banker. He died in Eugene Nov. 27, 1898, at the age of seventy-four.

1279— III. James Burnham 8, born July 1, 1826, in Londonderry; was a merchant, and president of the Marietta city council; married Virginia A. Rowland Oct. 9, 1849, in Newport, 0., and died at Marietta April 25, 1897, at the age of seventy.

1280— IV. Milton 8, born Sept . 11, 1828, in Londonderry; was a carpenter and builder, and noted for his fine workmanship; married Elizabeth Hayes Dec. 24, 1857, in Marietta, where he died April 1, 1861, at the age of thirty-two.

1281— V. Franklin Stark, born Sept. 22, 1830, in N. H.; merchant; married Mary Kuntz Feb. 5. 1861; and died in Salem, Ore., March 31, 1877, at the age of forty-six. "An honest man."

1282— VI. Ann Dustin 8, born May 26, 1834; died Aug. 15, 1835, aged one year.

1283— VII. George Theodore 8, born July 23, 1837, in Manchester, N. H.; lives in Marietta, O., being an architect of note. He is a distinguished Free Mason, having been Worshipful Master of American Union Lodge, No. 1, for sixteen years. He married Julia M. Sprague Oct. 12, 1864, in Marietta.

1284— VIII. Abigail Dustin 8, born Feb. 18, 1839; married J. S. Sprague May 5, 1857; and died March 1, 1895, at the age of fifty-six.

John Dustin Hovey, Esq. 8, born in Londonderry, N. H., June 19, 1821. He was a teacher and lawyer. He married Susan Cotton, daughter of Norman and Lydia Payne in Marietta, O., April 27, 1845. She was born in Marietta Oct. 10. 1825; and died at Milford, O., Jan. 14, 1888, aged sixty-two. He died in Milford Dec. 19, 1898, at the age of seventy-seven.

Their children were born as follows:—

1816— I. Laura Dustin 9, born March 20, 1846, near Cincinnati, O.: married John Yakey at Goshen, O.; died Feb. 5, 1902, and was buried at Milford, O.

1817— II. John Payne 9, born Aug. 31, 1847, near Milford, a suburb of Cincinnati. See family numbered "1817."

1818— III. Maria Rhoda 9, born Feb. 12, 1850, near Cincinnati; married Isaac Jefferson Grimes at Belton, Mo.; and died at Waverly, Kan., Nov. 21, 1899, aged forty-nine.

1819— IV. Annie Cushing 9, born Sept. 17, 1852, at New Albany, O.; married Isaac Newton Anderson at Goshen, O.; and died at Madisonville, O., Sept. 27, 1897, aged forty-five.

1820— V. Franklin Stark 9, born Aug. 21, 1855, at New Albany; married Sadie Baldwin at Belton, Mo.; and lives at Alexandria, Minn.

1821— VI. Nannie 9, born Nov. 20, 1857, at New Albany; married Anson Henry Baldwin at Ottawa, Kan.; and lives at Long Beach, Cal.

1822— VII. Charles 9, born April 23, 1860, at Batavia, O.; died Aug. 12, 1860.

1823— VIII. George Milton 9, born Aug. 10, 1861, at Batavia; died at Perins Mills Sept. 23, 1865, and buried at Zion Church, Clermont county, O.

1824— IX. Virginia E. 9, born April 3, 1864, at Zion Church; and died there April 3, 1865.

1825— X. Florence A.9, born Feb. 2, 1866, at New Boston, O.; married William J. Alford at Ottawa, Kan.; and lives at Winfield, Kan.
