About Jack Briggs
A former stage juvenile, under contract to RKO from 1940 to 1942, handsome, dark-haired Jack Briggs (born John Calvin Briggs) played the usual World War II characters: pilots, army officers, and the like, but was rather better known for his 1943-1949 marriage to Ginger Rogers, whom he had met on the set of the comedy Tom, Dick and Harry (1940). Briggs' own screen career was not successful and by the late '40s, he was playing small roles on television's Lone Ranger program.
