About John Allison "Jack" Johnston
John Alison/Allison 'Jack' Johnston was the son of Revolutionary War veteran, John Johnston, from Scotland and Margaret Alison/Allison from Nottingham Co., Maryland.
He was the brother of Sarah "Sallie" Johnston, who married Samuel J. Kelly and settled in the West Point, Tennessee area. Sallie Johnston Kelly was my third great, grandmother.
Jack and his wife, Nancy Howcoll, married in Maury Co., Tennessee, then settled above West Point on Knob Creek in 1848. They are both buried in what in now called the Neal Cemetery, which is located east of West Point. Jack and Nancy had several children, most of whom also settled in the West Point, Tennessee area.
