John lived in Wethersfield and Berlin, Conn. John was a farmer, his land lying to the west of Wethersfield between Farmington and Berlin and we find records of him in all these places. On Oct. of 1715 the Grand Court ordered that part of John and Stephen Kelsey's property be annexed to the Grand Swamp Society. In 1715 Stephen and John are definitely mentioned as being amoung the tax payers of the west society of Wethersfield, who were transferred to the Great Swamp Parish in the town of Farmington. In 1722 the general assembly passed a resolution changing the name of the society to Kensington. John had 5 sons and 6 daughters.
