The Testament Dative and Inventory of the deceased John Kennedy of Craig was given up on 12 January 1731, by his sister german Elizabeth Kennedy. 2 January 1698: Notarial copy, dated 26 October 1727, of the marriage contract (ante-nuptial) between James Montgomerie of Langshaw and Barbara Kennedy, daughter of John Kennedy of Craig, by which the said James binds himself to infeft the said Barbara in an annualrent of 1,800 merks out of the lands of Overcastletoun, Langshaw, Kilbryde, Milnstoneflatt, Over and Nether Pecobanks, Brockwellmuir, and Kirkhill, provision being made for the children of the marriage, Barbara's tocher being 10,000 merks.
