16 July 1602: Charter under the Great Seal of Scotland which confirms possession of the lands of Lassuduyn to John Ker, eldest son of Sir John Ker of Hirsell and Lady Margaret Quhytlaw. The land in question was to be held by John Ker, junior, andhis lawful male heirs, whom failing by his brother William Ker and his male heirs, whom failing by his brother Andrew Ker and his male heirs, whom failing by the nearest heirs of John Ker, junior, whatsoever. 4 February 1617: Charter by which Sir John Ker of Jedburgh, his wife Lady Margaret Quhytlaw, and their eldest son John Ker, in fulfillment of a marriage contract dated 10 January 1617, confirm that they have given an annualrent from the lands and barony of Langnewtoun to Anne Dundas, the future wife of John Ker, junior.
