Services for John Kerr at Goodrich Church Wednesday Afternoon - Services for John Kerr, who died at his home east of Centerville December 14, were held in the Methodist church at Goodrich last Wednesday afternon, conducted by Rev. Lee Dickey of Centerville. Music was by Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. Maurice Brown, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Quaintance. Pallbearers were Irwin Byerley, Roy Smith, Arthur Hodgson, Bert Johnson, Martin Byerley and Earl Byerley. Burial was in Goodrich cemetery. John Kerr, son of John and Elizabeth Kerr, was born in a log cabin a short distance from his home and had lived his entire life near Goodrich. He married Selena Frances Byerley on April 15, 1888. She died October 21, 1943. Surviving are three brothers, Rolla Kerr of Fort Scott, and Charley and Will of Parker. A sister, Mrs. Cora C. Blair, died in 1929.
