About John Kingsley
- From KINGSLEY GENEALOGY by Brown: He was a soldier in the King Philip's War and engaged in the Naraganset Expedition under Major Bradford. He married first Sarah Sabin and second, Elizabeth Storrs of Mansfield Conn. ( She was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Haskins Storrs )

John Kingsley was born on 6 May 1665 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Eldad Kingsley and Mehitable Mowry. John Kingsley married Sarah Sabin, daughter of Samuel Sabin Sr. and Mary Billington, on 1 July 1686 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. John Kingsley married Elizabeth Storrs. John Kingsley conveyed land "for love" to sons John and Ezra on 10 May 1720. He left a will on 17 March 1733
He named wife Elizabeth executrix; gave sons Josiah and Amos the homestead, son John his gun and sword, son Ezra his carpenter tools and named son Eldad. Daughter Tabitha Broughton received his cattle. His grand-children, children of daughter Sarah Hix, deceased, were to have a mare. Bequests were made to daughters Lydia and Elizabeth Kingsley, singlewomen. All of the named children and John Broughton signed an agreement that widow Elizabeth should have all the moveables in the estate except those specifically bequeathed to others, dated 13 Aug 1733.
He died on 17 March 1732/33 at Windham, Windham County, Connecticut, at age 67. He was buried at Scotland First Congregational Church Cemetery, Windham, Windham County, Connecticut. His estate was proved on 10 April 1733.
