JOHN KINLOCH OF CRUVIE
Margaret Kinloch, the daughter of John Kinloch of Cruive, married Sir James Sandilands of Calder. The dispensation for the marriage was dated 25 July 1463. John Kinloch of Cruvie was still alive on 3 July 1478, when he gave certain lands in Fife to his grandson John de Sandilands. bThe Scots Peerage VIII: p. 383

3 July 1478: Charter by which John Kinloch of Cruvie confirms that he has given certain lands if Fife to his grandson John Sandilands, who is identified as the son and apparent heir of Sir James Sandilands of Calder, who is identified as the son and apparent heir of Sir John Sandilands of Calder.. He reserved his own liferent, and that of Sir James Sandilands, and Sir James's wife Margaret Kinloch. The charter was confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 23 January 1478-79.
