(1) 1771, 18 Nov: John KIRKPATRICK of West Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., PA wrote his will. Gave to grandson William GIVEN 10 pounds. To son Hugh KIRKPATRICK 5 pounds. To granddaughter Hannah WELCH 10 pounds. To grandson John GIVEN 5 pounds. Gave 10 pounds to the use of the Congregation to which I have belonged. Remainder of estate to be divided into 5 parts, one each to son John and daughters Margaret EVANS and Elenor EVANS, one in executors' hands for use of grandchildren James, John, William, Hannah, Mary and Jean BOYD, to be divided when of age. Remaining part for use of grandchildren Lettice Charlton KIRKPATRICK, Hannah & William KIRKPATRICK, children of son William, when of age. Sons-in-law Robert and James EVANS executors.
