"John Lamont was born in Skye circa 1810, son of Malcolm Lamont and Isabella Macdonald who emigrated on the Mary Kennedy in 1829 to Uigg PEI. John married first Euphemia Macleod, they had one son who died young. He married 2ndly, Sarah Lamont of Murray Harbour Road and Grandview, PEI, d/o John Lamont and Euphemia Macleod. Sometime after 1852 or so, her family moved to Ripley, Bruce Co Ontario, and John and Sarah went with them. John and Sarah settled in Turnberry Twp, Ontario." --source: www.linneberg.com
