About Ronald Lamont
The census records from 1891 list a Ronald Lamont, aged 82, the father of Angus Lamont, living with the family of Angus Lamont and Christy Lamont on Lot 51, Kings District, District 133. He would thus have been born in Scotland in about 1809.
The census records from 1901 list the family of Malcolm Lamont and Catherine Lamont (Cantelo) living on Lot 52, Kings district, District 132.
It's an inference, but it seems very likely to me (Jack Mitchell, grandson of Mary Lamont) that the Ronald Lamont of the 1891 census is the father of Malcolm Lamont. Since the Lamonts immigrated to PEI in 1829, that would make this Ronald Lamont (if he's OUR Ronald Lamont) the son of the Malcolm Lamont to was head of the household at the point of immigration; Ronald would have been about 20 years old, which would square with both his sons having been born in PEI.
