About John Leavenworth
ilis will was proved at Woodbnry, February 17, 1785, 81 h Prob. vol. p. 164. His sons Amos and Elihu were his Exec's.
He had a number of slaves with their families, which he disposed of by his will.
He was during his life one of the leading men of the town of Woodbury.
He lived on Good Hill, near the residence of the late John I. , and on or near the very ground where his Grandfather first Settled and died. The cellar is still visible.
