Old Resident of Star Valley Dies At Mantua, Utah John B. Lee, 82, a resident of Afton for about 16 years, passed away at the home of his son in Mantua, Utah Tuesday evening. He had lived in Etna for about 30 years before moving to Afton. Survivors include Mes A.M. Corsi and Mrs Ed Sandberg of Afton, Clayton Lee of Etna, Ward and Lyle Lee of Mantua, Utah, Errol Lee and Mrs Heber Harmison of American Falls, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of the family. John B. Lee Buried Monday at Etna John B. Lee, age 83 passed away at the home of his son in Mantua, Utah, Wednesday, February 21 at 9:30 p.m. He was born in Tooele, Utah July 29, 1887 a son of Isaac and Mary Ann Bracken Lee. He was reared and educated in Tooele. He left Utah as a young man coming to Freedom to live, where he met Rozelia Irene McGavin. They were married February 26th 1895 later going to Utah to the House of the Lord to be sealed for time and eternity. To this union were born seven children; Jahn Errol Lee, American falls, Idaho; Mrs Edith Corsi, Afton; Mrs Iris Harmison, American Falls, Idaho; H. D. Lee Willard Utah; Ralph C. Lee, Etna; Mrs Rozella Sandberg, Afton; Lyle m. Lee, Mantua, Utah; and on other daughter, Alice deceased. There are 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr Lee came to Star Valley as an early pioneer and here he raised his family. He suffered many of the hardships of the pioneers in settling and building his home and raising his family. His wife passed away June 3, 1912 leaving seven young children to raise and care for. Funeral services were held Monday February 26, at the Etna Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Wilford Clark Processional music--- Violin Solo: Eldon Hyde. Opening Song: "Oh My Father" by Walter Brower and Alta Sanderson. Invocation: Kenneth Holbrook Chorus Number: "The Vacant Chair". First Speaker: Carl Erickson Second speaker: David Roberts Song: "In the Garden" by Mr and Mrs Ivan Gardner. Third Speaker: L.H. Haderlie Closing remarks; Bishop Clark Closing Song;"Sometime We'll Understand" by the chorus Benediction: Ether Wolfley. Pall bearers were six of his grandsons: Dale Lee, Dean Sandberg Lee Corsi, Frank Corsi, Ted Harmison and John Harmison. Flower girls were six of his granddaughters:Mrs Joyce Roberts, Mrs Jean Leavitt, Mary, Pauline, Jennie and Nettie Corsi. Interment was in the Etna cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Lorin Roberts.
