John Lewandowski

Johannes/John was born on Oct 2 1873 in Kamionek and baptised in Slawno. His sisters Agnes born Dec 21 1870 and Katarzynan Nov 17 1868 were also born in Kamionek and baptised in Slawno. Marriage records show Boleslaw and Aniela/Angela Hamerlinska were married in Klecko Nov. 25 1849 and both were from Kamieniec. Boleslaw was born in Zakrzewo on Nov 6 1824 and baptised on Nov. 29 1824 in Slawno. Unfortunately there is a gap in records for the years 1844-1866.

Kamionek, Zakrzewo and a few other villages were owned by landowner Chelmnicki It means that people living there were moving from place to place to work as farm laborers for the big landowners. Zakrzewo was a main seat of two families (Wesierski and Chelmnicki) They had a a huge palace there which is is still standing.
