Married ca 1772 to Mary Donnerin/Dohner.

Owned land in Lebanon twp, Lancaster (Lebanon) Co, Pennsylvania, (some 224 acres came from purchase from his father 12/22/1755), and later built with a grist mill on same, at a large bend in Little Swatara creek; yeoman; soldier in the Revolutionary war under Capt Casper Stoever, 3rd Co, Class 8., 2nd Batt; was of Bethel twp in 1815; he and wife, and much of his family, are buried on his own land, now called Light's Graveyard (detailed accounts of family, burials, dates from book The History and Geneology of Early Pioneer Families of Lebanon County, PA, pages 18 & 19)
