John P Livingston

This MyHeritage Tree and Berne History have John's parents as Philip Livingston & Maria. I don't think that's correct and haven't been able to make that connection based on the sources. Here is their FindAGrave, which doesn't list John (or Henry) as a child.

After much research, I believe John's parents are Peter Livingston and Mary Van Alstyne.

I have no record for the birth date - it could be earlier (circa 1805), assuming close to Eve (but I've seen various dates for Eve from 1805-1813). Eve is living with her sons Jacob and James in the 1850 US Census, son Nicholas in 1855 NY Census and I find no additional record of John with his children, so he may have died between 1843 (birth of James) & 1850 (Census) or divorced and on his own. Eve Livingston is listed again in 1870 & 1880 with her son James.

Note: Henry's son, William, is living next door to John's son, Nicholas, in the 1860 Census. Which helps support the connection that William and Nicholas are cousins. Henry is also buried in the same cemetery as Nicholas.
