During several years immediately preceding 1665, there were dwelling in Boston two men of the same name, John Lowell; one was a cooper, the other a tanner. ....

A FEW KEY POINTS:
1) There is no known relationship between the families of John Lowell the cooper (grandson of Percival Lowell and son of John Lowell of Newbury) and John Lowell / Lovewell the tanner who was progenitor of the Lovewell family. None!' Also his parents are unknown.
2) The first wife of John Lowell of Newbury (son of Percival) was MARY BAUGH. MARY BAUGH is also the mother of John the cooper
3) He did not marry Naomi Sylvester he married Naomi TORREY.
4) John Lowell, the cooper, was a son of John and a grandson of Percival Lowell.
