MINERVA, barque, 691 tons, left Gravesend 1 Jul 1847, arrived Auckland, 8 Oct 1847.
Fencibles 2nd Detachment under the command of Capt Charles HM Smith, 55 Regt. Passenger list includes Mjr-Col Dean Pitt and Captain Greenwood. The Minerva was anchored in Auckland harbour at the same time as the 'Ramillies' and 'Sir Robert Sale'.
The fencibles of the Minerva mainly settled the Howick area, in Auckland NZ.
