About John Richard "Johnny" Mann, Sr.

John Richard "Johnny" Mann, Sr. passed away peacefully on November 27, 2020 after a three-year battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Ward Adcock Mann, his sons John Richard Mann, Jr. and Blake Adcock, his sister Pat (Johnny) Glosson, his brother Bobby (Shelby) Mann, his granddaughter Jessica Mann, grandson Ethan Adcock, great-granddaughter Jaylen Thompson, several nieces and nephews, special friends Bob and Bernadette Konzelmann, and his two Yorkies, Manndy and Aubie.

He was born in Alamance County on March 13, 1944, where he lived all his life. He was Vice President of his senior class of 1962, having graduated from Southern Alamance High School. He was president of the HOA at Valleyfield Community in Graham for several years and was the president of the Burlington Singles Club before his marriage to Jean 27 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julian and Annie Mae Edwards Mann, his first wife Lynne Moorefield Mann, his son, Robbie Mann and daughter Shannon Leigh Adcock. Johnny owned and operated J&L Automotive and Lakeside Truck Accessories for many years and after his retirement, he worked as a shuttle driver for Flow car dealerships in Greensboro and Burlington.

Everyone who knew Johnny respected the fine man he was and he'll be sorely missed by all who loved him.

There will be no memorial service at this time due to the Covid 19 outbreak, but the family asks that random acts of kindness be done in his memory as he was a friend to all who knew him.

Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham is assisting the family.
