About John Mattingly

Marriage to Onea by Rev. D. A. Galitzin. Marriage to Eleanor may have been on the 14th by some accounts. Marriage records state the 24th. John was an Ensign in the Maryland Militia. Was named as Executor on the will of Raphael Logsdon but declined to accept the duties. In 1817, along with his brother Samuel, was named Executor to the will of John Logsdon.

John is on the 1810 census of Allegany County, Maryland with five males: two under 10 and three under 16. There were four females: Three under 10 and one under 45.
