"Civil War Veteran Dies At Columbus Grove.
COLUMBUS GROVE, Dec. 8 - John McBride, 87, Civil war veteran and resident of S. Main St, died at his home Sunday night. He had been in ill health some years and for the past several months had been confined to his bed.
He is survived by eight children. His wife died many years ago. Children are Mrs. Alta Hand, who resided with her father; Mrs. M. S. Deffenbaugh and Mrs. E. L. Keirns, residing in Columbus Grove; I. S. McBride, of Miamisburg, O.; O. T. McBride, of Kenton; Mrs. W. D. Sakemiller, residing west of Columbus Grove; Mrs. Frank Tillson of Fount City, Ind., and J. D. McBride, of Wheeling, W. Va.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed."
