About John McKeever
Information provided by Marilyn Peverly's research on the McKeever family, March 30, 1995:
The story has been passed down through the generations that Frank Lyndon McKeever and his sisters were found wandering about the farm after the death of their parents, John and Puryetta, along with an Aunt Mary A., John's half-sister and her daughter, Eliza and Mary Emma Wadkins (sometimes shown as Watkins), from Small Pox. Ida and Minerva were in homes with other families and eventually married. Frank and his younger sister were adopted by L.L. and Angie Winters (sometimes shown as Waters) and Sara Jane's name was changes by the Winters to DELILAH.
