John NEALE, Esq. of Dean, b. 20 Dec. 1612. He was elected knight of the shire for the co. Beds in 1654, and was appointed one of the commissioners for carrying into effect the ordinances of the parliament by the act passed in 1636.
He m. Anna, dau. and co-heiress (with her sister, the wife of Henry St. John, Lord Chief Justice) of Henry Cromwell, Esq. of Upwood, co. Hants, third son of Sir Henry Cromwell, of Hinchinbrook, and uncle to OLIVER Chom well, Lord Protector of England, and had issue,
