About John O. Pawling

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/119325477/john-pawling

"John while yet living in New York was an officer in the Colonial forces, and as such was in the expedition to Canada in 1711. He settled in Pennsylvania, probably in 1714, with his wife and his infant son Henry, who had been born in Marbletown and was baptized there, November 1, 1713. Whatever his dat of migration to Pennsylvania may have been, it is a fact that on September 10, 1713, he took title to five hundred acres of land on the Perkiomen, a few miles beyond the stone bridge, by a deed from Joseph Shattuck, survivor of and tenant in common with Edward Lane." ~• per Thaddeus L. Vanderslice, descendant (1904)
