About John Corner Peake, V
John Peak was one of about 75 Kentucky Militiamen (out of about a 140) who survived the "Battle of Blue Licks" on August 19, 1782. From what I have read it appears that he was a member of Col. Daniel Boone's Fayette Militia. This qualifies him as an "American Patriot" and qualifies his descendants for membership in the DAR and SAR.
