22. John Godown5 Pidcock (Jonathan4, Charles3, Jonathan2, Jonathan1)(4147) was born Lambertville, Hunterdon Co, NJ October 20, 1810. There is a possible recording error in the Daughters of the American Rev. recording that list his birth as 1859 and was married 1835. I have recorded his birth as Oct 10 1810 as recorded on FamilySearch.com John died April 13, 1882 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 71 years of age.

He married Elisabeth Ann Ramsey in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, January 1, 1835. Elisabeth was born in New Jersey 1813. (Additional notes for Elisabeth Ann Ramsey(4148)) Elisabeth died 1897 at 84 years of age. In the 1850 census Clinton Twp Hunterdon Co page , John (age 40) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 37) James N (age 14), Mary (age 11), Fisher (age 8), Lemuel (age 6), and Margaret (age 3). John is a blacksmith and all births are NJ.

In the 1860 census Readington Twp Hunterdon Co page 132, John (age 50) is living with Ann (age 45) James W (age 25) Fisher (age 20) Lemuel (age 15) Margaretta (age 12).

In the 1870 census Readington Twp Hunterdon Co page 335B, John (age 60) is living with Elizabeth (age 56). John is listed as a farmer with a real estate value of 16,500 and personal at 6,000.

In the 1880 census Readington Twp Hunterdon Co page 157, John (age 70) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 67), grand-daughter Tammy Sosey (age 12) and John Shippley (age 24) a laborer. John is listed as a farmer and all births are NJ.

"An old and highly respected citizen of White House, Mr. John G. Pidcock, father of ex-Senator Pidcock, has passed away. The old gentleman was stricken with paralysis on the 7th inst., from which he failed to rally. He died on Thursday last. Mr. Pidcock was for many years overseer of the poor of Readington Township."

"At White House, April 13th, 1882, John G. Pidcock, in the 73rd year of his age."

child 33 i. James Nelson6 Pidcock(4149) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey February 6, 1836. James died December 17, 1899 at 63 years of age. He married Fannie A Faulks March 19, 1862. Fannie was born 1841. Fannie died September 1, 1886 in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 45 years of age.

child 34 ii. Mary Pidcock was born about 1837.

child + 35 iii. John Fisher Pidcock was born September 1841.

child + 36 iv. Lemuel Pidcock was born 1844.

child 37 v. Margaretta R Pidcock(4150) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1847. She married Daniel Locy in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, December 26, 1866. Daniel was born about 1845.
