2021 --- LETTER
John and George Poage are buried in the Ashland Cemetery. There is no Cemetery at the location listed. It is believed there was once a Bethesda cemetery, were many revolutionary soldiers may have been buried, but at some point they were all moved to the the Ashland Cemetery and the possible location of Bethesda cemetery is currently unknown. We also have no historical accounts of a Poage Cemetery. If you have documentation on the location and history of Bethesda and Poage cemeteries, I'd love it if you could share it...it would be a fantastic addition to our local history collection at our local library!
